Snake bite

In any case of snake bite, first give reassurance as most of the persons die to fear & shock.
Check for bite mark on the site of bite. Then identify the snake,if they had brought it with the help of scales/hood. In most of the hospitals there will be a identification chart for it.

If there is no snake take history from the attendants. Check for neurological symptoms or bleeding manifestations. Recommendations say that using Antisnake venom with in 6hrs will be useful. Generally 10 vials will be given if it is poisonous snake.
