The difference between the THYROTOXICOSIS & HYPERTHYROIDSM is , in both the diseases the T3,T4 levels will rise but it is called hyperthyroidism only if the gland actively produces n secretes excessive hormones... in thyrotoxicosis it may be due to excess secretion frm gland or any leakage from damaged gland or exogenous.... these words should be used appropriately. @copyright Indian clinical knowledge
